Niall McGinn of the Aberdeen becomes hero of the hour by inviting bullied school boy

Niall McGinn has become the hero of the hour after he helped a schoolboy to stand up to bullies.

Cameron; 7 years old was the mascot for the Don for their Premiership win over Motherwell on Saturday. He was made mascot by Scottish man after his plight came to his attention from social media.

The young Cameron has been so much tormented by his bullies that he was willing to give up football and was even reluctant to attend school.

Hearing about all this McGinn came out to help the yo0ungster with his club and invited him for not only tour of Pittodire but also to lead the team out for their game.

McGinn told media that, “you come across a lot of messages on social media about lots of things but this particular message struck me. I sent back a reply and the response of it was massive. So I decided to hero the kid and asked by club to get this little man to walk out the game with me. It put a bright smile on his face and I hope it also gave him the courage to face his bullies. I have seen his videos of playing football and he is pretty good lad. For him to quit paying football would be such a bad shame.”

He further said to media, “it is important that if a young child is being bullied it should be exposed. If children think that they are being bullied they should talk to their parents and teacher about it. There is always support for bullied children and bullies will not win in the end”.
