Novak Djokovic and Simona Halep have both been named as the 2018 ITF World Champions.
Novak Djokovic, the World no. 1 player received this award for h sixth time from the International tennis Federations. As for the Romanian top-ranked tennis player Simona Halep, she won this award for the first time in her career.
31 years old Djokovic said to media, “I am very much honored to be once again named as the ITF World Champion. I am particularly proud of this achievement as I have made it through many physical injuries this year b a part of me told me that I could still make it to the top. I feel very much satisfied to join Pete Sampras to win my sixth award”.
Simona Halep also enjoyed her Grand Slam Success of 2018 when she won her maiden major title at the French Open this year as well as when she reached the final of the Australian Open.
She said to media, “it’s a great feeling to be named as the ITF World Champion for the first time. I had a great year as I won my first Grand Slam and finished the year as World no. 1”.
