Warriors clinch the Pacific Division by beating Hornets 137-90,

Stephen Curry, with a towel wrapped around his neck and his both raised, pointed in appreciation towards the crowd.

One hurdle down and many more left unconquered on Golden State Warriors’ road to the third championship.

Curry led the Warriors with his 25 points which include his 5 3-pointers as Warriors defeated Charlotte Hornets by 137-90 on Sunday night. With this win, Warriors have clinched themselves the crown of Pacific Division and as for Hornets; this was the worst loss for them this season.

Curry said, “of course when a team is scoring like we were, then things are fun for everyone, no matter who is having the possessions.”

Klay Thompson of Splash Brother finished for the night with 24 points out which he scored 19 points in the first half. As for Kevin Durant, his performance was a little under as he only managed to score 11 points along with 9 assists.

With this game, Curry has now 355 3-pointers in this season followed by his NBA record 3-pointers of 402, which he also scored in the 2015-2016 season.

DeMarcus Cousins, the Warriors center was ejected out of the game with 6 minutes to the clock in the n2d quarter for a foul he committed against Willy Hernangomez. During his 11 minutes of gameplay, DeMarcus Cousins scored 8 points with 3 shots blocked.

As for Hornets, they were led by Hernangomez, who scored 2 points on his 14 free throws who earlier sot to Lakers on Friday night by 129-115.

James Borrego, the Hornets coach said, “I did not saw any fight out there. We simply made mistakes as we gave into their offense. We left Curry alone for a few moments and that is a mistake you cannot make.”

As for Kemba Walker, the lead scorer of Hornet, he only scored 9 points.

Up next, Hornets will play against Utah Jazz while Warriors will host a game against the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday night.
