On the Saturday night fight between Luis Ortiz VS. Travis Kauffman, Luis Ortiz stopped his opponent in the final round to remain on the contender list for the world heavyweight title fight.
Ortiz unaided a cluster of punches towards his American opponent in the three-minute opener as his opponent gave little response.
Ortiz continued with his offense as he rammed in a succession of big left hands. His punches failed to land behind the belt line in the third and Kauffman got chance to recover.
Ortiz aka ‘The King Kong’ was more aggressive than before in the fourth round as he beat his own chest as he called Kauffman to stand and fight. Ortiz softened Kauffman up a bit in the fifth round as he peppered his opponent with steady punches.
Ortiz thought that the fight ended when she sent Kauffman to the canvas with a big left hand in the sixth round.
However Kauffmann as stubborn as he clambered up on the canvas and stood another round. He was dropped against in the eighth round by a chopping left hand.
As the final bell approach, Ortiz was able to gain stoppage on Kaufmann who was pounded to the floor and was sustaining flurry of punches before the referee stepped in to end the fight.
