Shenzhen Open; Herbert saves 2 match points to reach the final

Frenchman; Pierre Hughes Herbert was able to reach the final after saving two match points against the seventh seed player Alex de Minaur in his Saturday’s game. Herbert defeated Minaur by 7-5, 2-6 and 7-6.

Herbert is a doubles veteran paler who has recently won the French Open this year in addition to his previous three Grand Slam titles. Herbert was able to save the two match points during the third set tiebreaker at 6-5 and 7-6 to win the match. He secured his semi final win on second match point.

He is into his second ATP singles final since 2015 when he qualified for the Winston –Salem.

On the other hand, the Japanese qualifier Yoshihito Nishioka made it into his first final after beating the fifth seed; Fernando Verdasco by 1-6, 6-3 and 7-6.
