Sister of the NBA superstar and legend Shaquille O’Neal named Ayesha Harrison-Jex died last Thursday after the long battle with cancer at the age of a mere 40 years old.
Ayesha Harrison-Jex was diagnosed with cancer 3 years ago. Shaquille O’Neal did not know anything about his own biological father and was raised up by his stepfather named Philip A. Harrison who was the biological father of his sister Ayesha Harrison-Jex. Shaquille O’Neal did not make an appearance on Thursday’s program of TNBT’s “Inside the NBA” and Shaquille O’Neal’s colleagues of the show decided to pass along their own condolences.
Ernie Johnson, the host of the show said of Shaquille O’Neal, “When O’Neal struggles, we also struggle with him because he is our brother. She has said that his world revolved around his 2 sisters and his brother. And now he has lost one of those sisters this morning, at an age far too early.”
Charles Barkley passed his condolences in kind words to mother of Shaquille O’Neal named Lucille O’Neal; saying that she was the one who was there for his family when his own mother died.
Shaq’s sister, Ayesha Harrison-Jex, died of cancer at 40 years old this morning.

Adam Silver, NBA commissioner was also on this show and passed his condolences to the O’Neal family. Silver said, “It is time like these that we are all together.”
Shaquille O’Neal was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the basketball back in 2016. He has won 4 NBA titles and also 3 Finals MVP titles in his career.
