On Tuesday, Brandon Browner, the two time Super Bowl winner was sentenced for eight years of jail time over his attempts to murder his ex-girlfriend in California.
34 years old Browner appeared in front of the judge at the court in Pomona, Los Angeles following his charges from July 8th.
The former cornerback won back to back Super Bowls in years 2014 and 2015 with Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots respectively. He was accused with an attempt to smother the women in front of her two children after breaking and entering her house in La Verne.
In his hearing, he pled no contest for the one felony count of attempting murder and two counts of the misdemeanor of cruelty to a child for the involvement of the woman’s two children.
District Attorney’s Office said to media that, Superior Court Judge Bruce F. Marrs also ordered Browner to stay away from the woman and her two children for 10 years.
Browner committed the attack in front of the woman’s two children.
He was detained by police after few hours of his attack. He also stole woman’s Rolex watch during the attack.
