Winslow and Adebayo lead Heat to push past the Cavs and win by 118-94

Justin Winslow is now in the groove for this season. Winslow managed to score 24points and 11 rebounds to lead the Miami Heat on Friday night game against the Cleveland Cavaliers for Hawks win by 118-94.

Dwayne Wade while enjoying the Miami Heat’s win said, “You can tell that the game is now slowing down for him. Once the game slows down for you, it’s scary how good you can play. So, yeah, we are all enjoying it.”

Winslow made seven assists for the Heat along with his points, who had recently moved to play as the starting point guard for the team after Goran Dragic suffered an injury.

Winslow has now scored 20 or more points in his past three straight games.

Winslow said about his performance, “I think I am playing with lots of instincts and just trying to lead. I want all the guys to play free. I want all of them to be confident in their shots and I am going to be confident in my shots. I think we have been super confident with each other and I think my team has been super confident with me”.

Other players from Heat’s side like Bam Adebayo scored 18 points, Josh Richardson added in his 16 points and Rodney McGruder scored 13 points for the team’s win. With this win, Miami Heat has now won five of their last 7 games.

As for the Cavs, they were led by Jordan Clarkson who scored 18 points for the team who have now lost 5 straight games.

Clarkson said, “We did not make any shots tonight. We got some good looks but we were not able to knock them down.”

Apart from winning the game, this was also the 15th consecutive win of Miami Heat against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Cavs won the game against the Heat last time back on Jan 25th, 2010. In that game, both LeBron James and Shaquille O’Neal started for the team. As for the Cavs, the last win against Miami without LeBron was back on December 21st, 2001.

P next, Cleveland Cavaliers will play against the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday while Miami Heat will host a game against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday.
