Thunder past Hawks by 124-109 under Russell Westbrook lead
Thunders were able to go against the numbers to gain their Friday night win against Atlanta Hawks.
Oklahoma City Thunders were the worst 3-point shooting team in the NBA by percentage, but after making the season-high 18 of the 41 shots on Friday night won over the Atlanta Hawks by 124-109.
Russell Westbrook led the team with his double 3-pointers but fell short on his triple 3-pointer. He finished for the night with his 23 points along with 10 assists and 9 rebounds.
Other players from Thunder’s side like Alex Abrines scored 21 points with his seven 3-pointers; Paul George added his 20 points and Demis Schroeder finished for the night with his 18 points for the team.
Patrick Patterson the Hawks forward who made three 3-pointers for the night said that they way Thunders got the 3-pointers was the crucial point to their win.
From Atlanta Hawks side, John Collins and Alex Len both scored 19 points each and Taurean Pierce added in his 15 points for the night. As for Tare young the Hawks guard, he scored 9 points with his 8 assists on his return to the home state. Yung was the former All-American at the Oklahoma City Thunders last year and he also received a nice ovation from the home crowd during the lineup introductions.
Atlanta Hawks will now host a game for Golden State Warriors on Monday night and as for Oklahoma City Thunders, they will be up against Detroit Pistons on Monday night.
