Alvin Gentry; Pelicans coach says he won’t trade Anthony Davis for even Beyonce

New Orleans Pelicans coach; Alvin Gentry says to media that he won’t trade off Anthony Davis not even for Beyonce.

Alvin Gentry in an interview with media said, “If anyone of you doesn’t want to call him the best player, I call him the most valuable player. If you can trade him or anybody then he is the most valuable guy in the league and we are not even considering trading him. There is no one in the league that we would trade him for and no even outside the league; not even for Beyonce. If we are not trading him for her then he is untouchable.”

This is the music to the ears of Pelicans fans as they were worried when Anthony Davis signed with the agent Rich Paul, the same agent of LeBron James.

Davis who is starting his seventh season in the league is the future of the Pelicans franchise and is amongst Top 5 players of the NBA. He was the third in the MVP voting list last month after he led the Pelicans to the second round of playoffs which is also the first for Davis’s career.

25 years old Davis can sing a massive five years extension deal with Pelicans in next summer. However, he says that he is currently not looking that far ahead in the future.

He told media that, “it is important, no doubt about that, but at the moment I want to win. When that point comes we will get to that point. The biggest focus point for me this year is to help my guys and like I said earlier, when the time comes we will take care of the rest”.
