Johnny Fisher vs Michael Pirotton turned into a much harder night than the Romford Bull would have wanted. Fisher won a majority decision over the Belgian heavyweight after 10 punishing rounds in the Zuffa Boxing 11 main event at London’s Copper Box Arena on Saturday, September 26.
Two judges scored it for Fisher, 98-92 and 96-95, while the third had it 95-95. It was the 27 year old’s 15th professional win and his first fight under the Zuffa Boxing banner, but he finished exhausted and needed oxygen after the final bell.
How Fisher vs Pirotton played out
Fisher came out fast. He worked behind a double jab and went to the body early, and Pirotton was cut over his left eye inside the opening rounds. The ringside doctor took a look in the fourth, and Fisher responded with a hard left hook to the body and a string of right hands that pinned the Belgian on the ropes.
That looked like the moment the fight might end. It didn’t. From the fifth round Fisher’s work rate dropped, and Pirotton started landing his right cross. By the seventh he had picked up a second cut around the same eye, but he kept walking forward and kept throwing.
Going into the 10th, Pirotton’s left eye was nearly closed. Fisher emptied the tank with wild right hands, yet he couldn’t find the finish, and both men were still standing at the end.
Close scorecards leave questions
The 98-92 card looked generous to many watching, and Sky Sports noted that some pundits felt the home fighter was fortunate to get the nod after a sluggish finish. Former world champion Johnny Nelson suggested Fisher should be smart about who he fights next, and that Dillian Whyte, a name floated before fight night, should not be that opponent.
This was Fisher’s rebuild after his stoppage loss to David Allen in May 2025. He got the win he needed, but not the statement.
Zuffa Boxing 11 undercard results
In the co main event, Radivoje Kalajdzic beat England’s Craig Richards by unanimous decision, 97-92 on all three cards, dropping him late in the 10th round of their light heavyweight fight. Lee Cutler outpointed Louis Greene at middleweight (98-92, 97-93, 97-93), Kayla Allen stopped Edina Kiss in the third round and Leo Ruiz beat Cesar Mateo Tapia on points.
