Quinton de Kock scores a fifty to let South Africa have a 1-1 draw with India at the T20 series

In the second day of T20 series between South Africa and India, Quinton de Kock scored an unbeaten score of 9 runs off of 52 balls to allow South Africa win over India by the margin of 9 wickets for the 3rd T20 International series held in Bangalore. with this win, South Africa has drawn 1-1 against India.

De Kock hit 6 boundaries along with smashing 5 sixes to make short work of India’s earlier target of 135 runs. Visitors were able to clinch the Second day of the T20 series to tie the series with 19 balls to spare.

From South Africa’s bowling side, Kagiso Rabada was the most wicket taker with his 3 wickets while giving away 39 runs whereas the fast bowler Beuran Hendricks was able to get two wickets of the home team as they restricted India’s batting side to 134 runs at loss of 9 wickets.

India chose to bat first and Shikhar Dhawan gave the strong start to Ida with his 36 runs off of 26 balls for the top batting order but then Rabada and Hendricks were able to get the wickets of Virat Kohli at 9 runs and Rohit Sharma at 9 runs respectively.

As for Dhawan’s wicket, it went to hands of Tabraiz Shamsi who got only 1 wicket in the match by giving away 23 runs. The loss of these heavy hitters caused the Indian side to be held down.

Later batsmen of India; Rishabh Pant with his 19 runs, Hardik Pandya with his 14 runs and Ravi Jadeja with his 19 runs, were able to threaten the visitors for a but soon their wickets started crumbling down one by one.

As for South Africa’s batting innings, they only lost one wicket of Reeza Hendricks who scored 28 runs. After that he splendid fifty from De Kock guided the visitors to a much needed victory.
