On Sunday night, Roger Federer won his 99th tour tile at the final of the Swiss Indoors in Basel.
Federer managed to gain the victory by 7-6 and 6-4 against his opponent, the world no. 93 Marius Copil. It might seem like an easy win but Federer actually had to fight hard for this win.
The only player in the history of tennis to hold more title than Federer now is Jimmy Connors who won 109 tour-level titles. This is the ninth time Federer has won the tour title in Basel.
Romanian player Copil made it to face off against the world no. 3 Federer after eliminating the no. 2 seed of the event Alexander Zverev. Copil managed to gain a 4-1 lead in the first set with his aggressive approach but the 20 times Grand Slam champion eventually showed his marvelous attacks before taking a 5-4 lead.
