Tony Bellew confirms his retirement from boxing

Tony Bellew; the former Cruiserweight champion of the world has confirmed the news about his retirement from boxing.

After his bout with Oleksandr Usyk on November 10th and his 8th round knockout, Bellew called it a day and said that he is going to take retirement from the sport after failing to unify the vision.

Bellew after some time of consideration has taken it upon the social video to announce his retirement with a video that he is officially hanging down his gloves.

Bellew said on his Twitter account, “it is finally time for me to leave the ring and the final bell for me has been rung. I thank for all the support of my fans that they have showered me in all these years. Today I take my time to announce to my fans that I am officially retired and will not be fighting professionally as boxer anymore. The only thing you guys are going to see from me is being sensible and behaving appropriately”.

Bellew in his career won 30 of his total 34 professional boxing bouts. In this impressive career, he won two heavyweight titles against the heavyweight boxer David Haye.

According to Bellew himself, his greatest achievement in his career was defeating Ilunga Makubu at the Goodson Park which won him the WBC Cruiserweight title.
