The 2026 Presidents Cup begins on Thursday, September 24 at Medinah Country Club’s Course No. 3 outside Chicago, with the opening ceremony at 11.05am CDT and the first of five four-ball matches teeing off at 11.35am CDT. The event runs through Sunday, September 27.
Brandt Snedeker captains the United States, with Scottie Scheffler, Cameron Young, Wyndham Clark, Sam Burns, Russell Henley and Collin Morikawa qualifying automatically and Chris Gotterup, Xander Schauffele, Justin Thomas, Jacob Bridgeman, Patrick Cantlay and Jackson Koivun added as captain’s picks.
Geoff Ogilvy leads the International side. Si Woo Kim, Ryan Fox, Hideki Matsuyama, Min Woo Lee, Tom Kim and Adam Scott came through on points, with Corey Conners, Nico Echavarria, Sungjae Im, Ryo Hisatsune, Nick Taylor and Christiaan Bezuidenhout picked by the captain.
The format is five four-balls on Thursday, five foursomes on Friday, four foursomes and four four-balls on Saturday and 12 singles matches on Sunday. Medinah No. 3 plays as a par 70 of 7,548 yards following a redesign in 2022 and 2023 that added 47 bunkers and enlarged the greens by more than 40 per cent.
The United States hold an overall record of 13-1-1 in the competition and have won the last 10 editions, the International team’s only victory coming at Royal Melbourne in 1998. Adam Scott, making a 12th appearance to match Phil Mickelson’s record, has never been on a winning side.
