Chad Kelly, the backup quarterback for the Denver Broncos has been arrested. E has been charged with suspicion of first-degree criminal trespassing on an incident which occurred on Tuesday morning.
A press release has been released by the Englewood Police department which states, “A man had entered a residence located on the South Lincoln Street shortly after 1 a.m. He was sitting on the couch and was mumbling incoherently”.
Acceding to the police report, the owner of the house chased the intruder out by striking him with a vacuum tube”.
Police shortly came after and started their search. Then a man was found which was Kelly Chase; sitting in a Black SUV near the Gothic Theater.
245 years old Kelly was then arrested and was sent to the Arapahoe County jail. He is currently not in custody and also appeared in court on Tuesday morning.
Broncos released a statement, “we are disappointed that Chad was arrested. Our organization is in contact with Chad and we are currently gathering more information.”
Kelly was the last pick in the seventh round o the 2017 NFL draft. He started playing for the Broncos earlier this month for the first time in regular season. He lost a yard on a play against Los Angeles Rams on 14th October.
